Woo! He's done! Finished! Com-ple-ted! Kinda!
Okay, so I've still got a couple of teeny touch-ups to do, but this is good enough for now.

Meet Seamair. Named so 'cause he always looked kinda Irish to me, and what's more Irish than the Irish translation of 'clover'? Nothing, I tell you!

Took me about 10-15 hours over a period of five months(I'm unbelievably slack like that); polymer clay over a wire-and-tinfoil armature, glass eyes, viscose hair(dyed myself; my hands are so green I could pass for a freakin' leprechaun), and painted in acrylics. You can barely tell by these photos, but his horn and hooves have been painted with a creamy(and kinda shiny) off-white, in an attempt to make it look sort of like ivory. And I forgot to spray him with varnish. Oh well, I'll work something out.

My first real sculpt! You'll have to excuse the shit photo quality; my camera sucks. His eyes are somewhat brighter, his pink bits are somewhat pinker, and he looks somewhat less blurry(though, there's a reason for that, I'm sure).

Maybe if I get less lazy(not likely to happen) I'll borrow a friends camera, and do a better photoshoot, but for now this'll do.

oh wow this is amazing! the face is so gorgeous, it really looks so realistic! the pose is really interesting, and the hair looks great.

for the varnish, if you did want to still put some on, you can wrap the hair in tin foil. I do that sometimes :)

my only suggestion (and this will get better with practise anyways) is to glue the hair right onto the end of the tail as well so you can't see the tip of it.

Anyway, awesome work here. Its great to see unicorn sculptures :)

Aaaah, tinfoil to the rescue once again! That's quite a good idea; the thought hadn't even crossed my mind. xD

I'll have to remember to add more hair to the tip when I get to fixing him up a bit more. I got so carried away, I didn't even notice!

Thank you so much! Means a hell of a lot to me. =D

But even if you kicked it, it still hadn't fall far from the tree. Regardless of however hard it had been kicked /after/ falling, it still fell in the same spot. It just didn't stay there.

The real question is; how hard must you kick an apple before it goes flying through the neighbors window?
